[REVIEW] Schwarzkopf FreshLight Pink Champagne ♡
06:50
Heyhoo! It's my first beauty post here, and I'm frankly sooooo excited. I L-O-V-E trying on new products from head to toe, especially if I find those particular products beneficial. Right now I'm 16 years old and as you can guess from the title, I'm gonna review Schwarzkopf's FreshLight in the shade Pink Champagne! And no, I'm not "too young" to be reviewing such products. In fact, I first dyed my hair when I was between 11 or 12. It all started because I was a rebel, my mum told me not to but I'm not the kind of kid who would listen lol. And ever since, I have been colouring my hair, especially since my mum concluded that I looked better in lighter shades of hair. Without any further due, let's get into it!
I got interested to purchase FreshLight because of the foam-hair-dye colorant they produce. Yep! SQUISHY FOAM! So anyway, I've read so many reviews and many said that it was sold on a reasonable price. Someone even wrote that they bought it for only Rp 89.000,- in Guardian because it was on sale. Unfortunately for me, when I went to Guardian, the price was 2x of that mentioned, or maybe a lil more. So I decided not to buy it there. It was kinda hard to find this product in Malang, but eventually I found it in Raya, a beauty store. I was gonna choose the Cherry Blossom at first, since I wanted a rather red coloured hair. But I was un-optimistic about how it'll look on my hair (boo), so I decided to buy the Pink Champagne instead which was not a foam colorant. Did I regret it? No. There's always a next time to try the foam-type colorant.
Alrightey! So that's me in my au natural hair colour. So my hair was rather dark-brown, but it surely wasn't black. Since this is a late review (sorry did I forget to mention that?), I did this in June 2015 but I got no time to make the review till now. And my hair length is longer now, but as you see in the picture, my hair length was already considered long, but one tube of FreshLight's Pink Champagne did just enough for me. But I do need to mention that my hair strands are so freakin small in diameters. And I wasn't born with "subur" hair like most people do, so my hair is thin.
So here's what you get, the one marked number 1 is the colorant cream, which you would be mixing with the developer which is in tube numba 2. Then you get an after use kind-of conditioner (the one beside the developer), and a pair of gloves (the one in the plastic sheet), and a developer comb-cap which you insert on the developer tube after mixing it with the colorant cream to ease the application of the hair dye. It also comes with a paper guide on which ones to mix, how to mix it, how to apply, and how long you should apply it for before rinsing it. Overall, I had no difficulties on applying it. Some reviewers said that the ammonia smell was too much for them to handle, but honestly I didn't smell anything (is there something wrong with my nose?). So I left it on for 30-45 minutes and applied the conditioner included after rinsing it clean.
Here's the result (outdoor):
I was very satisfied with the colour. I felt like a ginger lol. Well, even though eventually I didn't colour my hair red, I would have to say that this was a really cool colour. My dad referred it as 'auburn', and so he was right. The perfect combo for a long term holiday; ginger hair, pale skin, and red lipstick!
You can find this product online through instagram's online shop, in Guardian, or perhaps makeup/beauty stores. Bam the glam!
